Hana’s ART

Hana – FineART-Künstlerin

What moves me are the quiet, almost invisible moments when something happens —
a trace of light on a leaf,
a barely perceptible movement,
a space in between that suddenly comes alive.

It wasn’t always this way.

After years of classical photography, I lost what had once carried me: fascination, an intuitive approach, a beginner’s mind. Too entangled in technique, composition and perfection, photography increasingly became an act of control.

Through the simple view of a smartphone camera, away from technical control and compositional rules, a new space opened.

Photography became a sensory experience again — seeing in passing, listening, sensing.

Through a conscious reduction to the essential, inspired by Japanese aesthetics, this new way of seeing deepened.

Today, my images emerge from an encounter with the moment. Not as representations, but as resonances of light, space and presence.

Something of what accompanied me in my earlier engagement with Japanese martial arts resonates here as well: clarity, reduction and presence.

Becoming empty, listening, opening to what is — and letting it happen.
